We believe in drawing on their unique strengths and abilities.Working at Petit ELJ is more than turning up to a job, we are a community who choose to give children the best possible start to their education while awakening their unique learning potential.We are a privately owned company operating 18 modern long daycare centres across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and the Australian Capital Territory.No matter their role, our teams use their expertise, attitude, and a shared commitment to place children first every day.About the role:Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play an essential role within our organisation as the Payroll Manager.We're looking for someone who has a positive attitude, is exceptional at multi-tasking and who would thrive in a small team where their hard work is recognised and highly valued. Key responsibilities:End-to-end processing of payroll for two pay cycles in an efficient manner – fortnightly and monthlyCollecting, calculating and entering data in order to maintain and update payroll information including annual award rate changesCompiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, terminations, disability, and non-taxable wages and reporting on thisQuarterly preparation and lodgement of Superannuation reportsMonthly preparation and lodgement of payroll tax for multiple statesLiaise with all employees regarding payroll enquiries, resolving payroll discrepancies, concerns/queries in a timely mannerAward interpretation where requiredMaintaining payroll operations by following policies and proceduresWhat you need:Diploma in BusinessMinimum of 2 years’ experience in a standalone payroll position working and preferably in fast paced growth organisationsBe able to interpret, understand and advise on payroll relevant legislation and awardsProficient in desktop computer applications (Microsoft Office suite especially Excel and Word) and accounting software packages including MYOBPetit ELJ is committed to an inclusive workforce and we are dedicated to providing flexibility and diversity.
